The Hotel Villa Astra is an elegant, spacious 6-room villa representing a perfect example of Venetian Gothic built at the end of the 19th century. The villa is situated sea front in Lovran, at a beautiful location with magnificent views of the Kvarner bay. This Small Elegant Hotel is surrounded with attractive, green garden and has direct access to the charming seaside promenade “Lungomare”. The hospitality encompasses a warm welcome and an intimate atmosphere just as much as the holistic spa and wellness area with different treatments, consultations, activities and seminars. The villa also has multi-purpose areas for various courses, meditation, reading, discussions, socializing and special events.
Tradition and creativity is above all, the main theme is to be found in the cuisine of the hotel restaurant. Within a short period of time the restaurant has developed into a domestic gourmet and health temple for the regional specialty cuisine.
The restaurant consists of 3 separate rooms; “the Austrian Room”, “the Croatian Room” and “the Hungarian room”, as a small reminder of the period when the villa was built. The restaurant interior is decorated with colours inspired by 3 interesting and bright portraits of the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph. The restaurant is also available to individual guests with prior reservation and can host small groups, weddings and other special events.
The library offers a wide selection of reading material in many languages about holistic life-style, wellbeing, healthy nutrition, psychology, alternative healing practices, music, aromatherapy, art, biographies etc.
