![]() Robinsons in the City is Melbourne's smallest boutique property. We offer 6 intimate guest rooms each with private or ensuite bathroom in a warm, friendly and personal environment - Robinsons is charming & decidedly different.
The property was Melbourne's earliest commercial bakery (circa 1850) and the large, wood fired, brick bakery ovens are a grand feature of the "Bakehouse" breakfast room. Each of the six guestrooms is individually furnished and has their own "private" modern bathroom facilities. Four of the rooms are in the baker’s original home featuring; 12 foot high ceilings, pressed tin ceiling, ornate timber staircase and enchanting furnishings. Breakfast is a pleasurable way to start the day at Robinsons. Dine in the “Bakehouse” and partake in fresh seasonal fruit salad and Greek yoghurt, Muesli or other cereals, fresh bread for toasting and spreading with your favourite jams, marmalades or honey, plunger coffee and locally blended breakfast tea. Located on the edge of the CBD, Robinsons is a short stroll to the main city shopping precinct, Southbank & Crown Entertainment Complex, Melbourne Aquarium, Melbourne Observation Deck, Docklands (New Quay), Telstra Dome and all of Melbourne's transport links - The new Southern Cross Station (formerly Spencer Street Station), Interstate Bus Terminal, Skybus (Airport Shuttle Service) Terminal and the FREE "City Circle" Tram. We are close enough to the action, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Park the car in one of our off-street spaces and explore Melbourne by foot or the extensive public transport system. Special Features: Complimentary WI-FI high speed internet access, off-street car parking (must be pre-booked), guest lounge and library, on the “doorstep” of the CBD, close to Restaurant & shopping precincts and major tourist attractions. |
